The instrument follows the Rotary Scuff Test method, where two specimens are rubbed against each other under a set test load of 2 PSI (1 or 4 PSI available on request) at a controlled rotational speed of 60 ±1 RPM, managed through a Programmable Logic Control system.
A high-speed blower, running at 2500–2900 RPM, supports the testing process.
Cycles are tracked using a programmable counter with a maximum range of 9999, shown on a 7" x 5" computer software display.
All results are logged with Time & Date Stamped Reports through the 21 CFR Part 11-compliant software, backed by internal memory and a printing facility for report generation.
