Model : PAAD -35

This test checks how a material changes when exposed to high heat. The material is kept in the air at a set temperature for a certain time. Its properties are measured before and after heating. Results show how much the material’s properties have changed, usually in percentages. For hardness tests (Durometer or IRHD), the change is shown in hardness points.

Standard: ISO 188-2011

What is an Accelerated Ageing Oven?
An Accelerated Ageing Oven is a machine used to test how materials, like rubber or plastics, age over time when exposed to heat. It helps predict the life and durability of a material in a shorter time.

How Does It Work?
The material is placed inside the oven at a high, controlled temperature for a set period. The heat speeds up the natural aging process. After testing, changes in the material’s properties, like hardness, strength, or flexibility, are measured.

Applications

  • Checking the durability of rubber, plastics, and polymers.
  • Testing products like tires, seals, and gaskets for long-term performance.
  • Research and quality control in manufacturing.
