Presto Instruments' One Point Heat Seal Tester – Touch Screen is a precision laboratory heat sealer designed to test single-point heat sealing performance on flexible packaging materials. With an intuitive touch screen HMI and PID temperature controller, this heat seal tester helps QC teams and manufacturers determine ideal sealing parameters — ensuring seals meet required strength and safety standards.

As a trusted laboratory testing instrument manufacturer and Supplier in Ghana, Presto Instruments designs the One Point Heat Sealer to meet industrial standards—a reliable choice for pharmaceutical, food, cosmetic, and FMCG packaging quality control.

What is a one-point heat sealer touch screen?

The One Point Heat Seal Tester– Touch Screen is a laboratory-grade heat seal tester used to create and evaluate a localized heat seal at one precise point—such as a corner, spout, or specific spot on a bag or pouch—applying controlled heat, pressure, and dwell time to study how a flexible packaging material seals under real-world conditions.

Unlike conventional bar-type sealers, this single-point heat sealing instrument is purpose-built for testing small pouches, corner seals, and tricky geometries that are hard to seal uniformly. Its touch screen HMI replaces manual knobs with a graphical, menu-driven panel—letting operators set, monitor, save, and recall parameters in a few taps, making it a preferred packaging testing instrument for modern QC labs.

How Does the One-Point Heat Seal Tester Work in Ghana Industries?

The heat sealer applies controlled heat and pressure to a single, defined point on the packaging material:

  • Sample (film, laminate, or pouch) placed at the sealing location.
  • Temperature, pressure, and dwell time set via touch screen.
  • A PID controller + Pt-100 RTD sensor heats the head to the exact temperature.
  • Heated head presses the sample for set dwell time, fusing the layers.
  • Head releases automatically; sample removed for seal-strength evaluation.
  • Touch screen logs parameters in real time for repeatable results.
  • Ramp rate: 15°C/minute
  • ASTM F2029.

Technical Problems It Solves

  • Inconsistent localized seals: Bar sealers can't isolate a single contact point — this instrument tests exactly that spot, eliminating guesswork on corners and irregular geometries.
  • Poor traceability: The touch screen automates parameter setting and logging, eliminating manual knobs and logbooks entirely.
  • Temperature drift is a problem. A PID controller with a Pt-100 RTD sensor helps to get the sealing condition every time.
  • Standards non-compliance is a concern. Our setup follows ASTM F2029. This way, we are sure our in-house data will pass audits.

Applications of One-point Heat Sealer Touch Screen in Ghana :

  • Quality control testing of pouches, sachets, and small-format flexible packaging
  • Corner and spout seal validation for stand-up pouches and spouted bags
  • Pharmaceutical packaging testing — strip and sachet seal evaluation
  • Food packaging testing for sachets, pouches, and wrappers
  • Cosmetic and personal care product pouch sealing tests
  • R&D and product development for new film and laminate testing
  • Testing localized or irregular sealing areas that full-bar sealers cannot replicate
  • Academic and industrial packaging research laboratories

Coefficient of Friction Tester Digital

Coefficient of Friction Tester Digital

We all know that friction testing is considered to be a crucial aspect of quality control, especially in the case of flexible packaging films. The co-efficient of packaging can significantly impact how easily the package will slide or move during transit. A low COF can cause the package to slide too easily, risking damage to its contents. Conversely, a high COF can make the package difficult to handle, potentially causing delays.
