The Environmental Stress Cracking Resistance Tester is a specialized test cabinet designed to evaluate changes in the physical characteristics of plastic materials and determine their actual working life under environmental stress.

Presto's Environmental Stress Cracking Resistance Tester comes with standard accessories, including a cutting die, glass tubes, a digital temperature controller, and foils. Its aesthetic appeal is enhanced by an autumn grey and blue finish, complemented by bright chrome/zinc plating for corrosion resistance.

This tester is specifically designed to assess the impact of environmental factors on blow-molded polyethylene containers. Plastic containers may experience mechanical failure and cracking in the presence of certain substances like soaps, oils, detergents, or wetting agents. These failures occur at significantly lower stress levels when exposed to such environments. Presto's tester ensures accurate evaluation of these effects, providing essential insights into the durability and performance of plastic materials under environmental stress.
